Stat of the Week (Spooky Edition)

Retail had the largest CRM market share in 2022, at 23.5%. Boo.

TikTok CRM is real

Ask not for whom the TikTok tolls. It tolls for thee, CRM.

TikTok and HubSpot are doing a collab. On the face of it, it’s about as unexpected as that Metallica-Lou Reed record.

But turning TikTok procrastination into gold for advertisers—it's a big thing. Apparently, 1 in 3 of us discovers products on the app.

HubSpot Smart CRM users can make use of new no-code integration that allows you to 'supercharge' lead generation. In layman's terms, the idea is to funnel potential ā€˜online shopping mistakes’ (jk) into one convenient place, where you can:

  • Integrate TikTok business accounts with HubSpot in real-time

  • Instantly sync leads to HubSpot's Smart CRM

  • Run personalized campaigns across multiple channels

  • Use AI-powered reporting to up your ad game

Commenting on the partnership, HubSpot's SVP of Product, Karen Ng, spoke of the 'undeniable' power of TikTok. Reciprocating like a true friend, TikTok’s Head of Product Partnerships, Lorry Destainville, gave a nod to HubSpot's growth obsession.

Together, these two are making it easier for advertisers to haunt the endless scroll.

TikTok CRM. Because dancing your way to financial solvency isn’t always in the cards.

Top Predictions for 2024

Boston-based Nucleus Research published its Top 10 Predictions for 2024—and yes, you better believe there’s CRM stuff in there.

Here’s the TL;DR for the CRM enthusiast.

Expect CX Consolidation.

Do you grow oh-so-weary of juggling software licenses?

You’re in luck. The trend leans towards ā€œless is more,ā€ i.e. more features being consolidated into fewer platforms. That should reduce TOC (total cost of ownership), and give better access to CRM tech.

Nucleus Research reckons the market will get "stickier.ā€ Not because vendors will entice users with Buffalo Wild Wings coupons, but because feature consolidation will keep users.

Also expected: More single-tier pricing from vendors.

So, as we waltz into 2024, expect the CX dancefloor to be all about the three T's: transparency, thriftiness, and... tactical consolidation.

After CRM, AI is the Next Phase of Sales Disruption.

The rise of CRM offered a spicy opportunity for sales reps. Those who’ve embraced the tech have done better. Those HODL-ing onto old methods have generally not gone ā€œto the moon.ā€

Et tu, AI? AI appears set to bulldoze the middle zone of BDRs and amplify the "you-get-it or you-don't" divide.

In this brave new world, Nucleus Research predicts that sales reps will need to leverage and master AI.

Sigh. Fine. I guess I’ll merge with the cyber.

Automatic CRM For the People

Data entry is the grown-up equivalent of algebra. Automating this chore away has been the dream of humanity for… well, I imagine a while by now.

Hold the fort. WINN.AI has just rolled out fully automated CRM updates.

How does it work? AI-driven decision-making swoops in, allowing salespeople to skip the usual manual data review + approval.

Does it work? T’would seem AI’s gotten a lot better at data entry as of late, ditto for generative AI. More AI tools—but also more AI tool integration—have finally made this kind of automation feasible.

Apparently WINN.AI users pushed the vendor to push the ā€œfull automationā€ button, so we’ll see how the user reviews go.

That said, for those still clinging to the good ol' days of "reviewing" and "editing,ā€ WINN.AI magnanimously permits you to indulge in these quaint pastimes. Safe.

But why would you want to manually update CRM, when you could be manually updating that cup of coffee—am I right?
